THESE RULES ARE IN PLACE TO MAKE THE GAME AS REALISTIC & SIM AS POSSIBLE. YOU MUST FALLOW THESE RULES AT ALL TIMES
if you do not agree with a rule, or have a better idea on how a rule should work, want a change, or want a new rule in place you must post your thoughts in the general board & we'll have a vote if a commish or several people feel it is a valid point.
ANY PROBLEMS WITH FELLOW OWNERS MUST GO THROUGH A COMMISH
If you have any issues with your fellow owners must go through a commissioner of the league. They will oversee all problems, and make sure they are sorted out, or kept track of in a fair fashion. If something is of large disagreement between 2 people, it is the commish's choice to make the final decision or have it voted upon by all league members.
If you have an issue the commissioners contact information is listed in the owners list, you can also private message them on the forum
RESPECT RULE
This league is all about respect, and this is in ALL aspect of our league, in game, in chat, in forums, on aim, I want respect shown to all fellow owners of this league at all times. Examples of disrespect would be:
- name calling
- making public accusations, instead of taking proper measurements, and speaking with a commish, and having it dealt through a commish & the opposing player
- pausing repeatedly to much in a game (if you believe someone broke a rule, or is being unsim, and you do the pause to show accusations [read below for more info], but your opponent doesn't give you a "makeup play", this means he believes he is in the right, and did nothing wrong. At this point, it becomes an issue that you need to speak to him & a commish after the game, always play your games out! And when speaking to him, still be respectful, if you can't, than stop talking to him, and deal directly with me.
- Do not block people on aim, or storm off in a tantrum. This is immature, and disrespectful. If you are bothered by someone, ignore them, or just respectfully say I don't want to speak to you right now. And the person receiving this statement should be respectful and listen to what the person asked them to do, leave them alone.
- Do not speak in caps, or try to "shout" over someone in chat. Let peoples opinion be heard, you will always get your turn in this league to say your piece
- IF YOU CAN THINK OF MORE RESPECT ISSUES, PLEASE POST THEM
PAUSE TO SHOW ACCUSATIONS
If you just got scored on, and you believe it was an un-sim goal or play; that the opposing player broke a rule or isn't playing right, pause the game several times QUICKLY in a row, maybe 5 or so times, this pause will show you are making accusations, that you believe the player did something wrong. If this happens, and the person who is being accused (on a goal) believes yes, I may have been a little off by doing that right there, than you MUST pull your goalie, or manual your goalie out of the net to give the goal right back. By doing this, you show good sportsmanship, and it should be forgiven and forgotten that you broke the rule, as it is very easy to slip up for a split second. Giving these goals up is called a "makeup goal", as your making up for the mistake you made.

BREAKAWAY RULE
ANYTHING GOES ON BREAKAWAYS. The latest spot on the ice that can be considered a breakaway is the hash marks of the circles by the net, if you are alone after that point, you can do as you please, anything goes. But if theres a d player there, even if hes way out of position, your not allowed to do as you please, imaginary crease rule is in effect.
BREAK IN ONE-TIMERS
- You are only allowed a maximum of 10 break in one-timers per game, with the added stipulation that you cannot even attempt these in a tie game, or if you have the lead, with less than 3 minutes left in game, or at all in overtime.
- Before reading what the definition of a break in one-timer is, you must understand, that it is not permitted to ever slow down, or to turn a bit to the side, or to go to the corner to set up one-timers while your on an actual break in, like just coming over the line, breaking into the offensive zone because we have turned settings down quite a bit so goalies will actually let in shots from further out, and one-timers are pretty much gimme goals now anything you make a good one close to the net. So NEVER slow down, or turn to the side, or do anything while breaking into the offensive zone to set up a one-timer, your one-timers must be clearly there for you from the start, they can't be something you wait on, or deliberately did so that your guy would go to the prime spot on the ice for a one-timer. any questions, please aim me about this.
- A break in one-timer is considered ANY ONE-TIMERS THAT TAKE PLACE, WHERE THE SHOOTING PLAYER IS INSIDE THE HASH MARKS OF THE CIRCLES IN THE OFFENSIVE ZONE; meaning anywhere from those given hash marks to the boards behind the net, this is considered a break in one-timer
- only 10 per game is not based upon the amount that is in the stats section (because the stat section also includes one-timers from the point, which is unlimited). So this means, it has to be governed by the user himself, 10 is an exact #, but it is ok if you go maybe 1 or 2 over, I'm not expecting you to keep an exact count in your head, but you must do your best to keep an idea of how many you've been doing, and to not over use it
- MAX OF 2 RULE applies here. Which means if you score twice with a break in one-timer, thats all you get, YOU MAY ABSOLUTELY NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO DO THIS AGAIN AFTER YOU GET 2 GOALS, and of course, if you do by mistake, you simply give your opponent a "makeup goal" by controlling your goalie manually, or pulling your goalie to give the goal back right away.
DIVING RULE
Players can only dive inside their own blue line when:
- offense is on break away
- to block a possible pass by the net
- to block shots or possible shot lanes
- NOT ALLOWED TO DO IT, JUST TO TAKE THE PUCK AWAY FROM DEFENDER AT ANYTIME, IT MUST BE URGENT DIVING, AND THE ONLY TIMES YOU CAN DO IT FROM BEHIND IS WHEN THE DEFENSIVE PLAYER IS IN REAL CLOSE TO NET, OR IS BREAKING AWAY BY HIMSELF
IMAGINARY CREASE RULE
You cannot score inside this imaginary crease ever, with only the fallowing acceptions; rebounds, deflections off boards/players/sticks, puck left behind from a hit player, a pass while player is ALREADY inside this crease BUT, although you can score on all of these you may NEVER move your guy before you shoot, you must shoot the puck immediately, and can't move him so that he shoots at a better position to put it by the goalie (now, as long as your tapping square hardcore as soon as your guy gets pucks, its understandable that there may be enough of a period of time that he somehow shifts a little bit to one side or another, thats ok, and trying to aim your shot is ok as long as your still doing it right away not waiting a split second or anything, but he shouldn't be skating anywhere, he might have enough time to turn, and maybe push forward a half step, but he won't skate anywhere before he shoots if your hitting the shoot button right away). Now, if you score and you believe you may have moved a bit far, or shifted to much before you shot it, just be a gentleman, pull your goalie, and give the goal back. BE GOOD SPORTSMAN.
MAX OF 2 RULE
The Max 2 rule means you cannot score a goal the same way more than 2 times ever. Unless its by mistake (than you must pull your goalie and give the goal back). Max 2 go's for anything that you may score the same way on twice (break in one-timers, set play one-timers, one-timers from point, a certain shot from slot, a move/shot combo). The only acception to this rule is on rebounds/deflections. You can score as many of those as possible
IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES, OR THINK THAT SOMETHING SHOULD BE CHANGED, OR WORDING SHOULD BE ADJUSTED, OR HAVE ANY OPINION OTHER THAN WHAT IS POSTED, PLEASE POST HERE NOW AND LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD, IF YOU DON'T, THAN THESE RULES WILL BE FINAL
AND FOR NOW, THESE ARE THE RULES I WISH FOR EVERYONE TO FALLOW BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS IN CUSTOM GAMES AGAINST EACH OTHER
Penalty Kill (DUMP PUCK)[/u]
- You MUST dump the puck, or shoot the puck down the ice when you are on the PK in your own zone.
- You MUST be moving forward and dump it, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO skate around in your own zone, or to turn around or to pass back at any time just to kill the clock, you must be trying to dump it right away
There are only the fallowing acceptions (for when you don't have to dump it):
- Your losing with less than 6 minutes left by any amount
- Anytime your down by 3 or more
- Anytime your down by 2 in the 3rd period
- If you steal the puck/or hit D with puck, and will have an oddman break (2 on 1) or a breakaway. This must be clear as soon as you leave the blue line.
if you do not agree with a rule, or have a better idea on how a rule should work, want a change, or want a new rule in place you must post your thoughts in the general board & we'll have a vote if a commish or several people feel it is a valid point.
